GEORGETOWN, Guyana, Monday June 29, 2015 – Major repairs are being carried out today after high winds tore off roofs, downed power lines, billboards and other structures, and disrupted electricity supply yesterday afternoon.
The East Bank Demerara, North Ruimveldt, South Ruimveldt, Lamaha Springs, Parfaite Harmonie, West Bank Demerara, Linden and sections of Berbice were among the communities most affected by the storm that also brought heavy rains.

Patrons of Splashmins Resort on the Soesdyke, Linden Highway told Kaieteur News that several people were hurt when some of the benabs fell on them.
One woman said her husband and two children, ages one and three, sustained minor injuries when the structure buckled.
