Guyana to set up embassy in Kuwait
Guyana will be establishing an embassy in Kuwait in an effort to further strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two countries, Foreign Affairs Minister Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett announced yesterday.
In July, Kuwait Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Al Ahmed Al-Jaber Al Sabah and other high profile government officials paid a one-day visit to Guyana, where six technical cooperation agreements were signed between the two countries.
Earlier in the year President Jagdeo travelled to Kuwait and signed two cooperation agreements and one Memorandum of understanding.
