President Santokhi feliciteert nieuwe Guyanese president Irfaan Ali

De Surinaamse president Chan Santokhi heeft vanmiddag zijn nieuwe Guyanese ambtsgenoot Mohamed Irfaan Ali namens het volk van Suriname gefeliciteerd met zijn nieuwe functie. Ali is vandaag geïnaugureerd als Guyana’s negende president in het Nationaal Cultureel Centrum.

President Chan Santokhi, minister van Buitenlandse Zaken, Albert Ramdin en first lady Mellisa Santokhi hebben de plechtigheid bijgewoond op uitnodiging van Guyana. Santokhi en Ramdin zullen ook bilaterale gesprekken voeren.

De Surinaamse president keert morgen in de namiddag terug. De functie van president wordt waargenomen door vicepresident Ronnie Brunswijk.

SURINAMESE PRESIDENT VISITS GUYANA | The recently elected President of Suriname, Chandrikapersad Santokhi along with his life and his minister of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Politics, Albert Ramdin have arrived at the Eugiene F. Corriea airport and will be in Guyana for 24 hrs to attend the inauguration of His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, the ninth Executive President of Guyana.”
