Marriott International annonce son premier hôtel au Guyana

Marriott va ouvrir son premier hôtel au Guyana en 2013. Le Georgetown Hôtel Marriott de 160 chambres est sur la bonne voie pour recevoir la certification LEED ® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) du Conseil en Eco-Construction des Etats-Unis (US Green Building Council, USGBC). Il sera aussi le premier hôtel Marriott LEED dans les Caraïbes et en Amérique du Sud. Il sera exploité sous un accord de gestion avec Atlantic Hôtel Inc (AHI). AHI est actuellement détenue par le gouvernement du Guyana dans le cadre d'un partenariat public-privé entre le gouvernement du Guyana et des investisseurs du secteur privé.

Marriott will open its first branded hotel in Guyana in 2013. The 160-room Georgetown Marriott Hotel is on track to receive LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). It is alsoon track to be Marriott’s first LEED hotel in the Caribbean &  Latin America. It will operate under a management agreement with Atlantic Hotel Inc (AHI). AHI is currently owned by the Government of Guyana (GoG) as part of a public-private partnership between the Government of Guyana and private sector investors.
