GEORGETOWN, Guyana (GINA)
En octobre, le Guyana accueillera la seconde manche des Jeux Inter-Guyanes (Inter-Guiana Game, IGG), avec d'intenses compétitions entre les jeunes du Guyana, du Suriname et de Guyane Française. Ces Jeux ont été un événement important de rapprochement entre les trois pays voisins et incluront du volleyball, du basketball et du cyclisme.
Les participants doivent avoir moins de 19 ans, être scolarisés ou en formation et résider dans le pays pour depuis au moins un an. [...]
La première manche des Jeux à eu lieu à Cayenne, avec l'athéltisme, la natation et le football.
Le sport a touh=jours joué un rôle majeur dans la vie des Guyaniens, et le pays a démontré qu'il peut produire des sportifs etdes sportives de talents.

The games have been a major unifying event among the three adjoining nations and will include volleyball, basket ball and cycling.
Participants must be under the age of 19 years, must be attending a school or an institution and must be living in the country for at least one year.[...]
The first leg of the games was held in Cayenne, French Guiana, and included athletics, swimming and football.
Sports has always played a major role in the lives of Guyanese, and the country has demonstrated that it can produce outstanding sportsmen and women.
